SACRAMENTO - A shooting in south Sacramento Christmas night left three people with injuries.
Sacramento police dispatchers said none of the injuries were considered to be life-threatening.
The gunfire was reported on 29th Street near Loma Verde Way at 9:44 p.m.
Dispatchers said one person was transported to an area hospital and another with a shoulder injury was found at the scene. A third person with an injured hand showed up at the hospital.
There was no early indication on what triggered the shooting. As police officers arrived, a possible gunman was seen running away holding a shotgun or rifle, dispatchers said. Witnesses said described the possible shooter as a black man in his 30s with long Afro-style hair.
