SACRAMENTO - A 46-year-old man and 23-year-old woman were arrested on a host of charges following the assault of a Colfax resident at the victim's home, according to the Placer County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Dena Erwin said Donald Scott Bell and Robin R. Brawley, both of Colfax, broke into the victim's home on Nov. 30, and waited. When the victim arrived home, the pair, used a Taser to stun, then bound the victim at the arms and ankles. The victim was then assaulted for six hours while the pair held a knife to the victim's throat.
Before leaving, Bell and Brawley stole undisclosed property from the home, Erwin said.
The victim was later treated for minor injuries at a nearby hospital and released. No information was released about the victim.
On Tuesday, deputies located and arrested Brawley and Bell, who were booked in to Placer County jail on charges including torture, kidnapping, penetration with a foreign object, false imprisonment, burglary, robbery, criminal threats, assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy. Brawley was also wanted on an out-of-state warrant.
Bond was set at just over $1 million, according to Erwin.
