SACRAMENTO - The Cal Expo Board of Directors will meet December 13 to decide whether or not to begin construction on an 8,000-seat soccer stadium on state fair grounds, according to the Sacramento Republic F.C. website.

The annoucement comes on the heels of a meeting between Sacramento Republic officials, including owner Warren Smith, and a Cal Expo subcommittee.
