OAKDALE, CA - A suspect used a napkin to rob an Oakdale bank Tuesday afternoon.
Oakdale Police Officer Ben Savage said the suspect walked into the Oak Valley Bank at 125 N. Third Avenue around 2:36 p.m., went to the teller and demanded money.
The man wrote a note, on what appeared to be a napkin, to demand money from the teller. While the suspect didn't brandish a weapon, he implied that he was armed.
As the teller gathered the money, the suspect reached over the counter and grabbed the cash from the teller's hand. Savage said the suspect then ran away from the bank.
The suspect is described as a white man, 35 to 40 years old, 5'8", weighing 180 to 210 pounds, with dark hair. He was last seen wearing a white long sleeve shirt, dark grey shorts with a light plaid pattern, black socks and black shoes with a white stripe.
Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to call the Oakdale Police Department at (209) 847-2231.
