Mark and Monica's pizza parlor incurred about $50,000 due to a fire Monday morning.
CARMICHAEL, Calif. - A popular Carmichael pizza parlour was damaged by two-alarm fire early Monday morning.
Sacramento Metropolitan firefighters received a call of a fire at Mark and Monica's pizzeria on Manzanita Avenue at approximately 12:10 a.m., said Fire Captain Bryan Thomson.
Arriving crews found a fire burning in the brush at the front of the restaurant that had spread to the building, said Thomson.
According to Thomson, firefighters dowsed the flames in time to save a large portion of the structure.
Damage to the pizza parlor was estimated at approximately $50,000.
Nobody was injured in the fire, said Thomson.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
