A Cal Fire chief was arrested during a bust for drug trafficking, Roseville police said.
Ronald Raymond Wright, 48, was taken into custody on Sept. 30 at a Roseville hotel on the 200 block of Harding Road, Roseville police spokesperson Dee Dee Gunther said.
Officers were working on a drug operation the night of Wright's arrest. Wright, whose listed residence is out of Idaho, was arrested on charges of transporting meth, Gunther said.
Wright is a Cal Fire battalion chief based out if Auburn. Cal Fire spokesperson Daniel Berlant said Wright is using personal accumulated leave credits.
Berlant said Cal Fire takes these allegations "extremely seriously."
