STOCKTON, CA - An extensive search for body near the Gateway Court area of Stockton was called off after no human remains were found.
On Tuesday, Stockton police, archeologists from Chico State and K9 units from Santa Clara spent most of the day digging near the intersection of March Lane and El Dorado Street after a tip said there was a body buried there.
Police spokesperson Joe Silva said the tip was credible enough that it became necessary to conduct the dig. He also said the tip did not make it clear if the person supposedly buried is a missing person or a homicide victim.
But, by Tuesday evening, officers did not find any human remains and called off the dig.
