SACRAMENTO, CA - A family was home when shots were fired not one time but twice into their south Sacramento duplex Tuesday afternoon.
Sacramento police Sgt. Lisa Bowman said the family included a year and a half old child inside the residence on the 4700 block of 50th Avenue. There was one injury: an adult was shot on the bottom of his foot.
Witnesses told police officers that a dark-colored, "lowered" SUV drove up, a person got out and fired at at least eight rounds into the front living room window. Then the shooter moved to the dining room window and fired more shots into the home.
The shooter got back into the SUV which drove off.
The family said they didn't recognize the shooter and the wounded family member declined medical care, Bowman said.
