SACRAMENTO - A shooting and subsequent investigation on Franciscan Way led to the closure of a portion of a Sacramento neighborhood Wednesday morning.
Sergeant Rogers of the Sacramento Police Dept. said officers responded to the shooting at 4:17 a.m. and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
The man was transported to an area hospital where he underwent surgery for the wound.
A large number of officers canvassed the neighborhood and conducted interviews with residents at the home at which the man was found, but as of 6 a.m., no suspects had been identified, said Rogers.
