VACAVILLE (BCN) - The Solano County coroner's office has identified a driver who died in a solo vehicle crash this morning on Interstate Highway 80 in Vacaville as 46-year-old Bryant Adams.
Adams, who is believed to be from Sacramento, died at 6:10 a.m. of multiple injuries from the crash, coroner's office Deputy Jackson Harris said.
Adams was driving a 2001 Ford Explorer east on I-80 near Lagoon Valley Road around 5:40 a.m. when his SUV flipped over multiple times and landed in the center median, California Highway Patrol Sgt. Kevin Duncan said.
The SUV had drifted off the right shoulder of the highway and Adams overcorrected when he turned back to the left, the CHP said.
The Ford overturned and crossed all lanes of the highway before colliding with a guardrail in the center median, the CHP said.
The car overturned again and landed in the center median between the eastbound and westbound lanes.
Adams was wearing a seat belt but he was partially ejected and suffered fatal injuries, the CHP said.
The crash closed the No. 1 eastbound lane for three hours during the crash investigation.
It's not known if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash, the CHP said.
