SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Future Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal was in Sacramento Monday dining at Zocalo. The Former NBA star announced he has now become a minority owner of the Sacramento Kings.
O'Neal said it was 24 Hour Fitness founder and Kings Co-owner Mark Mastrov who helped bring him aboard the ownership group.
Shaq says Mastrov opened several gyms in Miami and when he heard he was a co-owner of the Kings, he wanted in.
"When I found out he was the new owner I had a conversation and I asked him if I could be an investor," said O'Neal.
It's still unclear just how much Shaq has invested in the team but he says the team's future is bright.
