Woman ejected from car in West Sacramento crash

WEST SACRAMENTO, CA - A woman died after the car she was in crashed then rolled over early Saturday morning.

The rollover crash happened at intersection of Jefferson Boulevard and Stone Boulevard around 1:30 a.m., West Sacramento Police Lt. Tod Sockman said. According to the initial investigation, the crash involved only one car.

Three people were in the car when the accident happened, Sockman said. The 26-year-old woman sitting in the back seat was ejected from the car and found nearby; she was pronounced dead at the scene. The 27-year-old man in the passenger seat was taken to a nearby hospital with major injuries and is listed in critical condition. The driver, a 27-year-old man, suffered moderate injuries.

Sockman said investigators were processing the scene throughout the night to find the cause of the crash. It is unclear if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
