All aboard for reading! Join News10 at Fairytale Town for the 13th annual ScholarShare Children's Book Festival on September 28 and 29.

Sherri Duskey Rinker, the New York Times bestselling author of "Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site" and "Steam Train, Dream Train," will headline the two-day Festival. Admission to the Festival and Fairytale Town is free to the public thanks to the event's sponsor, ScholarShare College Savings Plan.

Rinker will present "Steam Train, Dream Train," which debuted in the number one spot on the New York Times bestseller list in April 2013. "Steam Train, Dream Train" is the eagerly anticipated follow up book to "Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site," Rinker's first picture book and the number one New York Times bestseller.

"We are delighted to have Sherri Duskey Rinker headline this year's ScholarShare Children's Book Festival," said Kathy Fleming, executive director of Fairytale Town. "Just like visits to Fairytale Town's storybook park, 'Steam Train, Dream Train' is a magical adventure both children and adults will enjoy."

The annual Festival introduces young children to reading and literature through readings and presentations by children's book authors and illustrators, storytelling performances, and hands-on literacy activities. Regional literacy and arts organizations will be on hand to provide information about early childhood literacy and more. Families can also shop for featured books at the Time Tested Books booth.

The Festival is sponsored by ScholarShare College Savings Plan, which provides families with a tax-advantaged way to save for college and also encourages children to learn to love reading early in life so they'll be ready for college. Additional sponsors include News10, Sac & Co in addition to others.
