Susan Green aka Susan Hernandez
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA - It isn't like Susan Green to not be seen or heard of in more than a week.
Green was last seen at My Bar, also known as Happy Harbor, in Isleton on Sunday, Aug. 11 around 10 p.m.
"It's the worst feeling in the world," daughter Hayley Green said.
"You don't know which way to feel," son Christopher Green said. "You've got your heart tugging one way, but you don't want to put 100 percent closure on that when there's no physical proof."
Green missed her daughter's 22nd birthday on Aug.18.
Green lived alone in the Delta Shores Resort and Marina, about 3 miles from the bar. When her kids checked on her home, they found the door unlocked and her pet bunnies had not been fed in days. Her family walked up and down the windy road, looking for any sign that their mother may have accidentally gone into the Delta.
As days go by, they suspect foul play.
"Someone out there knows something," Christopher Green said. "So, it's just a matter of time before they get some sense knocked into them or they feel they have enough of a heart where they get woken up and [say] we need to tell them."
Green's kids are using Facebook to try to find out what happened to their mom. It gets more difficult for them each day she remains missing. At this point, they just want closure.
"I've given up most hope that she is alive," Hayley Green said. "But I still want to know where she is and what happened."
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said they don't have enough evidence to suspect foul play, but said her disappearance is very concerning. Search and rescue crews plan to search for Green in the coming days.
Green was described as Hispanic, 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds. She has shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes. The last time Green was seen, she wore a black shirt, black pants and a multi-colored scarf around her waist, Sgt. Jason Ramos said.
Green drives a red, 2000 Ford Mustang with disabled California license plate # DP758CX.
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of this missing woman was asked to contact the sheriff's department at (916) 874-5115.
