Sacramento Police investigate homicide
SACRAMENTO - Police are investigating the death of a man after he was shot inside of a north Sacramento home Saturday evening.
Sacramento police received reports of a shooting in the 3300 block of Nareb Street around 6:40 p.m.
When officers arrived at the home, they located one man with a single gunshot wound to his upper body.
The victim was transported to the hospital where he later died.
Officer Doug Morse said that the victim arrived at the home when an altercation began and multiple shots were fired. It appears, at this time, that the victim and shooter know one another.
Shots are also said to have been fired outside of the home. It's not clear who fired those shots, but they are believed to be connected to the original incident.
Police have made no arrests and continue to question witnesses to gather futher information on the person or persons responsible.
