UPDATE: Suspect arrested in firebombing
FOOTHILL FARMS, CA - Several Foothill Farms residents were lucky to emerge unharmed from their apartment after they say a firebomb came crashing through their window Thursday night.
Sacramento County sheriff's deputies and Metro firefighters were called to the complex on the 5600 block of Hilsdale Blvd. around 9:39 p.m., said Sergeant Jason Ramos.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the burning unit, but the residence sustained considerable damage.
The residents, who got out of the unit safely, told arriving deputies a person a had thrown a firebomb into their apartment from the roof of an adjacent building for an unknown reason.
One person was taken into custody, but Ramos did not confirm whether or not they were a suspect in the case.
