PLACERVILLE, CA - One of the 19 firefighters killed fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire in Arizona has relatives in Placerville.

Fallen firefighter Sean Misner married Amanda Wilkinson on Sept. 15, 2012. Wilkinson, now Amanda Misner, was raised in Placerville and graduated from Union Mine High School.

"At first sight, they were in love," said childhood friend Nina Stypa. "They were newlyweds and they have a baby boy on the way."

Amanda is currently seven months pregnant. The baby will be named Jaxon Herbert Misner.

Amanda posted photos of her late husband on her Facebook page, one of the couple kissing and one of Sean posing with a great smile.

"She's not doing good," said Stypa. "She's pregnant, in the middle of summer and she just lost the love of her life that she just married." Stypa told News10 the couple was just in Northern California last month.

Official say the firefighters tried to use emergency fire tents for protection, but the fire was too much.

Stypa is also married to a wildland firefighter.

"They're gone for a long period of time and it's hard to even get a phone call," she said. "You have no basic idea of what they're doing out there. You trust the people that they're around and hope for the best. That's really all you can do."
