Man killed during robbery in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA - A man was killed, another injured, during an armed robbery in a south east Sacramento neighborhood Friday night.

Sacramento police responded to 6100 block of Stockton Blvd, near Lemon Hill Avenue, around 11:09 p.m. and found a man suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his lower body.

Police said a short time later another shooting victim was found. The man, later identified as 51-year-old Moises Perez Pina, was suffering critical injuries; fire department personnel later pronounced Perez dead at the scene.

Investigators found that both men were approached by two armed suspects, described as males in their late teens. When the suspects tried to rob the victims, they ran. The victims were shot as they ran from the suspects, police said.

The suspects were seen running from the scene after the shooting.
