Kings Head Coach Keith Smart celebrates after reenacting his game winning shot from the 1987 NCAA Tournament that gave Indiana the national title.
SACRAMENTO, CA - The News10 Sports department went to Kings practice on Wednesday to ask the players and coaches to give us their predictions for the NCAA tournament. Head Coach Keith Smart wouldn't give us his picks, for fear of jinxing his alma mater Indiana, but he gave us something much better.
During the 1987 NCAA Championship game, Smart hit the game winning baseline shot giving Indiana the 74-73 victory over Syracuse. In Hoosier country the winning basket is simply known as the "The Shot".
