SACRAMENTO - Police are looking for two men suspected of beating a man in a possible "bias-related" attack Sunday night.
The victim, a man in his 40s, was walking home in the area of 20th and D streets at 10:13 p.m. when he was approached by a man from behind. The approaching man made various derogatory statements using gay slurs. A second man then struck the victim on the lower portion of his body while also using derogatory slurs, according to Sacramento police reports.
Emergency personnel were called and transported the victim to hospital with minor injuries.
One of the alleged attackers was described as a black man, 24 to 28 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a dark green t-shirt and blue jeans.
The second assailant was described as a white man, 28 to 34 years old, 5 feet 8 to 10 inches tall with a medium build. He wore a dark-colored t-shirt and pants.
