LODI - A Lodi mother tells police her son is to blame after being stabbed two times Saturday afternoon.
Lodi police responded to a home in the 300 block of W. Locust Street around 1:30 p.m. to a report of a stabbing.
When they arrived at the home, they found a 50-year-old woman at a neighbor's home with two stab wounds.
The woman told police that her son, 24-year-old Chad Elliott, stabbed her with a knife.
The woman was transported to a Sacramento area hospital where she was treated and said to be in stable condition.
Officers surrounded the home where Elliott was and ordered him to come out. Elliot was quickly taken into custody and then booked into jail on a charge of attempted homicide.
Lodi police Cpl. Dale Eubanks said Elliott reportedly suffers from schizophrenia.
