SACRAMENTO, CA - Two men have been convicted of robbing and murdering a Sacramento taxi driver two and half years ago.
Yellow Cab driver James Walker, 54, was found dead after being shot in his cab at the Hillsdale Village Apartments near Madison Avenue and Interstate 80 in Foothill Farms on Oct. 18, 2010.
Jermaine Campbell and Jonathan Hudson were tried for the crimes. The Sacramento County District Attorney's Office says one Sacramento Superior Court jury found Campbell guilty of first degree murder, first degree robbery, the personal use of a firearm and the special circumstance of committing a murder during the commission of robbery. A separate jury convicted Hudson of first degree murder, first degree robbery and found him to have been armed with a gun.
Campbell was 19 and Hudson was 18 at the time of the crimes.
Campbell will be sentenced April 2. Hudson will be sentenced April 26.
