ELK GROVE- Two people were shot in the parking lot of an Elk Grove bowling alley early Sunday morning.
Elk Grove Police responded to the Strikes bowling center at 12:45 a.m. for a report of a physical disturbance involving a group of teenagers and young adults.
While officers were responding, additional calls came in reporting a shooting, said Elk Grove Police Officer Chris Trim.
By the time officers arrived at the scene, the victims were gone.
Trim said the shooting victims were transported by private vehicles to a local area hospital.
According to Trim, one man suffered a gunshot wound to the ankle, while a female suffered several gunshot wounds.
Trim said the injuries were believed to be non-life threatening.
No information was provided on suspects or a motive.
