RIO LINDA, CA - The driver in what the California Highway Patrol says was a hit and run last week that seriously injured two teenage boys has come forward.
Officer Lizz Dutton said the 35-year-old Rio Linda man and his attorney have contacted CHP investigators looking into the Feb. 21 late night crash on Dry Creek Road. Two 17-year-old teens, one on his skateboard and the other riding his bike, were struck. The driver in a dark-colored Ford truck did not stop.

Dutton said the man's truck was impounded for evidence and a report will be going to the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office recommending the driver face felony hit and run charges.
One of the teens may also face a charge of driving under the influence on his bike, Dutton said.
