2 arrested after police find stolen generator

SACRAMENTO, CA - Sacramento police were hailed down by concerned citizens after a motor home was seen towing what they thought was a possible stolen generator.

Police responded at 5:30 a.m. Friday morning near Dayton St. and Roanoke Ave.

Officers located the motor home parked and went to make contact with the individuals in the area, two of them were taken into custody after a short foot pursuit, said Sacramento Police Officer Doug Morse.

Morse said the large industrial generator had been stolen out of North Highlands earlier Friday morning.

Morse said the generator was a rental and the victim who had rented it was relieved police recovered it.

Both Robert Kalb, 45, and Marty Woods, 43, were booked on theft charges in the Sacramento County Jail.
