RANCHO CORDOVA, CA - The Douglas Road and Montelena Drive intersection was closed off Tuesday afternoon due to a gas leak.
Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District crews responded to a report of that a construction company severed an eight-inch gas main at around 1:44 p.m.
A Pacific Gas and Elelctric spokeswoman said utility workers should have the leak stopped by 9:30 p.m. and fully repaired around 1 a.m. Wednesday.
There were no evacuations, according to Sac Metro Fire.
Road closures were expected to remain until at least 8:30 p.m.
