RIPON, CA - Ripon police say they've arrested four individuals they believe are responsible for breaking into residents' cars. Three of them may also be responsible for stealing a car.

Officers caught a break in the case when they received a report of two teens appearing suspicious in front of a CVS pharmacy Saturday morning, according to 1st Sgt. Steve Merchant. The teens were dress in dark clothing and wore hoodies. They were found to have gloves, a flashlight and socks in their possession and one of them matched a description of a suspected auto burglar from the night before, Merchant said.

Additionally, police saw a driver's license next to the pair and learned it belonged to an auto burglary victim.

Merchant said as they continued to investigate, other items belonging to theft victims were found in the possession of the two teens, who were arrested. They also learned about a suspect vehicle in connection with the alleged crimes.

Merchant said officers found the vehicle, made a traffic stop, and recovered more items reported stolen from victims.  They also found evidence in the vehicle linking suspects to a vehicle reported stolen by its owner. Two more suspects were arrested.

Booked into San Joaquin County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of felony stolen property, vehicle theft and conspiracy were a 15 year old and a 17 year old from Antioch and a 16 year old from Sacramento. Vincent Henry Vigil, 26, of Antioch, was booked into San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of felony stolen property and conspiracy as well as contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
