Business burglarized on Winding Way on morning of 12/19/12
FAIR OAKS, CA - Three businesses were vandalized and burglarized in a Carmichael stripmall Wednesday morning.
According to Citrus Heights police officers at the scene, a firefighter in the area heard a loud bang in the vicinity of the stripmall on Winding Way and Dewey Avenue around 2:30 a.m. and went to investigate. When he got to the scene, the fireman saw a man running from the area.
Citrus Heights police officers, K9 units and a helicopter were all dispatched to the scene and set up a large perimeter to look for the man seen running from the area and another individual, but nobody was found. The perimeter was broken down and the scene cleared around 4:30 a.m.
Officers did not detail the extent of the damage to the properties or what was stolen.
The man seen running from the area by the firefighter was described as a large black man with short hair wearing a coat.
