EL DORADO COUNTY, CA - A man has been arrested in a fatal stabbing at the Red Hawk Casino Nov. 21.
Gene McArn, 19, of El Dorado County, died from injuries when he was stabbed at the Placerville casino around 10:30 that Wednesday night.
Monday, sheriff's Sgt. Phil Chovanec said the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office received information that suspect Estephan Juarez, 33, was at a residence on Cothrin Ranch Road in the county. Juarez was positively identified and ordered to come out. He was arrested without incident, Chovanec said.
During the apprehension, a dog inside the home ran out and attacked a sheriff's K-9. Deputies shot the aggressive dog which died, Chovanec said.
