WOODLAND, CA - A teenager was hospitalized after being shot in front of his home late Friday night.
According to Sgt. Steve Sexton of Woodland police, the 17-year-old victim was with friends and family in his front yard when the suspect walked over and shot him in the chest.
The victim was immediately rushed to Woodland Memorial Hospital by a private vehicle and then transferred to UCD Medical Center.
The victim did not sustain life threatening injuries, Sexton said.
