EL DORADO COUNTY, CA - El Dorado County sheriff's deputies were called to a home on Wamego Road Monday night in response to a shooting.
Lt. Tim Becker said deputies arrived at the home shortly after 7:30 p.m. and found Danie Radasa, 55, of Citrus Heights, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
A short time later, a man identified as Robert McKiernan was admitted to Marshall hospital in Placerville with minor injuries, Becker said.
According to Becker, their investigation found McKiernan was suspected of shooting Radasa and then fleeing the scene. Radasa had been at the home visiting his daughter, McKiernan's girlfriend, when he was shot.
McKiernan was treated and released from the hospital, then detained by investigators for questioning, said Becker.
No information was provided on why the shooting occurred.
