SACRAMENTO, CA - DeMarcus Cousins scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, as the Kings held off the Pistons and kept them winless with a 105-103 victory at Sleep Train Arena.
Seven Kings scored in double figures, with Tyreke Evans and Isaiah Thomas each chipping in 15 points. Jason Thompson added 13 points and Jimmer Fredette netted 12, including two big free throws down the stretch for Sacramento, which has won two straight after going 0-3 on the road to start the season.
Detroit, which was led by Greg Monroe's first career triple-double, fell to 0-5 for the second time in three years. Monroe totaled 21 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists in the setback.
Sacramento rookie Thomas Robinson was ejected with ten minutes to go in the fourth quarter after catching Jonas Jerebko with an elbow to throat. Robinson was issued a flagrant two penalty for the incident.
