SACRAMENTO, CA - A woman taken into custody after leading California Highway Patrol on a chase in a stolen truck Wednesday afternoon.
CHP said officers tried to pull the woman over after they spotted the stolen truck around 2:40 p.m., but she continued to drive on.
During the chase, the driver ran a red-light at 65th Street and Stockton Boulevard, crashed into a Toyota Camry with two women inside, then continued to drive southbound on Stockton Boulevard.
The two women were taken to a nearby hospital to get treatment for moderate injuries, CHP said.
As the driver approached Florin Road, she pulled into a parking lot of a Bank of America, hit a parked car, stopped the truck and then tried to run from the scene.
Officers said she was taken into custody shortly afterwards.
