Crash off I-80 W in North Highlands.
NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA - A driver sustained serious injuries when she lost control of her vehicle on westbound Interstate 80 in North Highlands and crashed into a tree Thursday morning.
California Highway Patrol reports stated the wreck occurred shortly before 3:33 a.m. near the Antelope Rd. onramp, trapping the driver inside the Honda Civic and causing irreparable damage to the vehicle.
Rescue personnel arrived on scene and were able to extricate the driver nearly an hour later. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The CHP did not disclose the extent of the woman's injuries or why she lost control of her vehicle.
