SACRAMENTO, CA (AP) - A Sacramento real estate magnate has settled a civil lawsuit for $2.5 million over claims that he secretly recorded his former nannies, baby sitters and family friends in various stages of undress.
The Sacramento Bee reports that attorneys representing 56-year-old Michael Lyon reached the financial settlement on Monday, ending a civil suit that involved eight plaintiffs.
Lyon was sentenced to a year in custody after pleading guilty to four felony counts of electronic eavesdropping. That case involved his secret filming of his own sexual encounters with prostitutes.
He faces at least two additional civil suits.
Lyon is the former CEO of Lyon Real Estate. According to the company's web site, it employs more than 900 agents in 17 offices throughout the Sacramento area.
