TURLOCK, CA - A worker was being treated for the near-dismemberment of her leg when it became caught in a potato harvester Wednesday morning.
The incident was in a potato field on the 4200 block of Simmons Road just outside of Turlock, said Sgt. Anthony Bejaran with the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department. He said the worker's leg was nearly severed.
The woman was taken by air hospital to an area hospital for medical care. Her condition was unknown.
Cal OSHA was called to investigate.
