COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The Sacramento Kings opened training camp at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs with the attitude that they are simply tired of losing.

"I think a lot of these guys are at their breaking point," said Head Coach Keith Smart. "They are saying, hey I've been in the league for 3 years I have friends on other teams in my same class that I am watching on TV."

The Kings have had six straight losing seasons. During the past four seasons, they haven't won more than 25 games.

"This is my fourth and I'm like I'm tired of the samething," said Kings Guard Tyreke Evans. "This year I want to be that 8th seed or 7th seed (in the playoffs)."

"We are tired of losing," said Kings Center DeMarcus Cousins. "We believe this year we can change things around."

The change for the Kings began in the offseason when the players committed themselves to working out and staying in shape. Cousins who played on the Olympic team select squad came into camp 15 lbs. lighter while Evans developed a new and improved jump-shot.

"We had a chance this year to have a plan so they could be prepared mentally when they went into training camp." said Smart. "And now these guys are in the stage of their career they want a piece of that pie."
