Police: Auburn man arrested for death threat texts to ex-wife

AUBURN - A man accused of making multiple death threats via text was arrested by Auburn police shortly before midnight on Saturday.

According to the Auburn Police Department, officers tracked down Myles David Salyers at an Auburn Grocery Outlet parking lot after they received reports that he was sending text messages to his ex-wife in violation of a court order.

Salyers allegedly sent threatening messages to his ex-wife which also consisted of threats against her male friend.

Police say that Salyers had been in the process of looking for his ex-wife when he was taken into custody in the store's parking lot.

Salyers was arrested and is being charged with making criminal threats, possession of prescription medication without a prescription, violation of a court order and driving under the influence.

Salyers was booked into Placer County Jail.
