SACRAMENTO, CA - A man hit by a pickup truck Thursday night suffered major injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The hit and run crash happened on Elsie Avenue and Power Inn Road around 8 p.m., CHP Sgt. Matthew Burgess said.
The white pickup trick drifted onto the shoulder and hit a pedestrian. Burgess said the truck did not stop and tried to make a U-turn at the intersection Elsie Avenue and Iona Way. Instead, the truck crashed into the fence.
Burgess said the driver was arrested at the scene.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with major injuries for treatment.
