DANVILLE, CA (AP) - Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan is heading to Fresno for a Saturday night fundraising dinner after a stop earlier in the day in the San Francisco Bay area.
The Wisconsin congressman was at a private home in suburban Danville Saturday morning where he attended a private breakfast fundraiser.
Video from KTVU-TV showed Ryan standing on an outside terrace of home chatting with supporters and posing for pictures.
The morning stop in Danville comes ahead of a dinner set for Saturday night at the Fresno Convention Center's Valdez Hall.
Tickets for the Fresno event cost $1,000 per person and up to $25,000 per couple for a private reception.
Several groups say they plan to protest outside the center.
After the stops in California, Ryan is scheduled to head to fundraisers in Portland, Ore. and Seattle on Monday.
