Roof collapses at Sacramento meat factory during fire

SACRAMENTO - A meat outlet in south Sacramento suffered extensive damage in a large fire on Wednesday morning.

According to the Sac Metro Fire Department Twitter page, the fire broke out at the building at 5858 Florin Rd. just after midnight.

Crews arrived on scene and battled the fire for over two hours before they were pulled out due to concerns over the structural integrity of the building.

Then at 2:28 a.m., Sac Metro Fire tweeted that the roof had collapsed.

All firefighters were accounted for following the collapse and none were reported injured during fire containment efforts.

No information was provided on the cause of the fire.
