Raman Deep Gill, 26, of Sacramento arrested on suspicion of DUI, vehicular manslaughter in south Sacramento fatal crash.
SOUTH SACRAMENTO - Two people were dead, two were in critical condition and one person was in jail following a major wreck on South Watt Avenue near Tokay Lane reported at 12:58 a.m. Thursday.
California Highway Patrol Officer Michael Bradley confirmed a man and woman were killed in the crash, and another man and woman were taken to separate local hospitals in critical condition.
The deceased victims were the driver and a rear seat passenger in one car.
The injured were in a car being driven by Raman Gill, 26, of Sacramento. Gill was not hurt. He was arrested and booked into Sacramento County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence, and two counts of vehicular manslaughter, said Bradley.
Gill was held on $750,000 bail.
The identities of the victims in the crash were withheld due to various circumstances.
