SACRAMENTO, CA - A Southern California woman is taking JetBlue to court.
In a federal complaint, Linda Toney claims she was severely injured during an emergency evacuation of an A320 aircraft in Sacramento on Aug. 26, 2010.
The plane arriving from Long Beach made a hard landing, causing a tire to blow out and catch fire. The flight crew deployed the evacuation slide as a precaution.
In the lawsuit, Toney blames JetBlue for allowing another passenger to slide behind her; that passenger allegedly collided with Toney, sending her to the hospital.
Toney is seeking damages for pain and suffering; she declined comment on the suit.
A JetBlue representative said the airline had not seen the lawsuit and had no comment.
