WOODLAND, CA - A Woodland teenager was stabbed while out on a jog Monday night.
According to Sgt. Victoria Danzl of the Woodland Police Dept., officers were dispatched to Woodland Memorial Hospital around 10:00 p.m., after an 18-year-old man was taken in with a stab wound to his left abdomen.
The man told officers he was jogging along the sidewalk on the south side of Pioneer Park when an unknown man approached him, punched him in the stomach, then stabbed him in the left side of his stomach.
The jogger ran from the scene and the stabber ran in the opposite direction, said Danzl.
The jogger was treated at Woodland Memorial for non-life threatening injuries.
The suspected stabber was described as a white man in his 20s, approximately 5'5" to 5'10" tall, wearing a dark color hoodie sweatshirt.
