TRUCKEE, CA (AP) - Authorities say a pilot is dead after a single-engine plane crashed into a building at Truckee-Tahoe Airport near Reno.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says the pilot was the only person aboard when the Piper Comanche crashed into a hangar about 8:15 a.m. Thursday.
Gregor says the plane is registered to a Northern California man.
Airport General Manager Kevin Smith and Truckee police say they are responding to the scene but don't have further details.
