VALLEJO, CA - Passengers were stuck on a Six Flags Discovery Kingdom ride for nearly two hours Sunday afternoon.
Twelve people were stuck 150 feet in the air on top of the tracks on the new Superman Ride from 2:30 p.m. to 4:20 p.m., Six Flags manager Nancy Chan said.
Chan said a crane was brought in to assist in the rescue. Engineers and mechanics were able to unlock the brakes and the cars were able coast to safety.
The Vallejo Fire Department actually went through a training last week on what to do in case a ride got stuck.
All the passengers got off the ride safely and were unharmed.
