STOCKTON, CA - There's been a fatal shooting in Stockton, the city's 36th homicide this year, according to police.
The 18-year-old man was shot on Kermit Lane south of Swain Road at approximately 12:30 p.m., police learned. He was brought to a nearby Kaiser medical facility by his girlfriend and then transported to St. Joseph's Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, according to Officer Joe Silva.
The victim did not survive, Silva said.
There was no early word on who shot the victim or why.
