GERMANY - You know the saying, "Don't cry over spilled milk?" Well, Germany's textile industry might do just that. They don't want to waste a single drop because they've figured out a natural way to turn milk into a silky fabric.
That's right. They can turn milk into a soft fabric much like silk.
The process works by curdling the milk, adding some secret ingredients, and within minutes the milk turns to a ball that can be woven just like wool or silk.
The fabric is expensive to produce so the fabric would be considered a luxury item similar to silk. But textile workers say the price would be more stable than cotton and silk which price fluctuates because of things like weather and supply.
