SACRAMENTO, CA - Pension talks between the City of Sacramento and the Sacramento police union broke down after the union announced it ended negotiations Wednesday night.
The city is trying to clear a $16 million deficit by asking unions to agree to concessions, including asking city employees to kick-in more money into their pensions.
The end of the talks could mean 19 police officers will be laid off by July 1.
