DAVIS, CA - The police standoff that caused the closure of a north Davis street Monday evening ended peacefully with a suspect in custody.

The suspect was identified as David Manuel Cervantes, 26.

According to Davis police Lt. Paul Doroshov, officers tried to serve a restraining order on Cervantes about 1:30 p.m. He refused to respond and knowing Cervantes had a prior weapons charge, police decided to cordon off the 2700 block of Adrian Drive and evacuate neighbors.

No one else was inside the home.

West Sacramento police and Yolo County sheriff's deputies were also on scene.
